Creation and management of data bases

This one-week course trains you in the use of Access and RedCap software (with an introduction to Wepi) to build and manage clinical and epidemiological databases. If you are a member of the Pasteur Network (see list), consider applying for the Calmette & Yersin Study Grant. The deadline for applying for the scholarship is the same as the deadline for applying for the course.

Description

The purpose of this training is to create databases from an observation booklet for different type of study

The training is organized in a theoretical part completed with tutorials on Microsoft Access and RedCap software, and initiation to Wepi.

General program of the course :

1- Introduction to databases (tables, relational schema...)

2- Introduction to Microsoft Access (2,5 days)

3- Introduction to RedCap (2 days)

4- Introduction to Wepi (0,25 day)

5- Exam (0,25 day)

 

Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree +2 (or sufficient experience in the field of database management) 

Candidates must have Cesam or equivalent.  Applications are evaluated by the Course Committee.
