ENS.PSL Master 1 students MUST NOT register online, but submit their course registration requests DIRECTLY to those responsible for their course.

All other students must register online.

LABORATORY PRACTICAL COURSE: The practical part will take place at the Education Center of the Institut Pasteur in Paris, during afternoons. It will rely on mouse and zebrafish models, and will introduce the students to technologies such as flow cytometry, magnetic cell purification, cell culture, ELISA and live fluorescence microscopy.

Sponsors: We thank Becton Dickinson for lending us an Accuri C6 FACS analyzer and Miltenyi for lending us an Automacs Pro magnetic sorter.

LECTURES: Every day for the duration of the course, mainly in the morning. Lectures, given by recognized experts in the field, will deal with major topics in cellular and molecular Immunology: development of the immune system, lymphocyte differentiation, molecular basis of antigen recognition by B and T lymphocytes, repertoire selection, tolerance, immune responses, innate immunity, auto-immune disease, allergy, and evolution of the immune system.

BIBLIOGRAPHY ANALYSIS: Talks presenting published Immunology papers will be given by groups of 2 to 3 students and supervised by the directors of the course. These short seminars, which will take place after the lectures, aim at training students to the critical analysis and public presentation of a scientific work.

EXAMS: At the end of the course, an oral presentation will be given by groups of 2 students on different parts of the practical courses and will be judged by the directors of the course. In addition, a 2-hour written exam will be held at the beginning of January.
