Why Support Pasteur MOOCs?
Access to high-quality scientific education remains unequal depending on countries, available resources, and proximity to major academic centers.
To address this challenge, the Institut Pasteur launched an online education program open to everyone in 2015. These courses give students, researchers, healthcare professionals, and learners around the world access to content developed by leading experts in their fields.
Today, MOOCs are a major way of sharing scientific knowledge and making Institut Pasteur’s expertise accessible to learners worldwide.

Education Accessible Around the World
Since their launch, Institut Pasteur’s MOOCs have enabled more than 30,000 learners from over 130 countries to access high-quality scientific content.
The courses cover a wide range of topics in life and health sciences, allowing learners to explore different fields and disciplines. Developed by experts from the Institut Pasteur and its academic partners, these courses allow learners to study at their own pace, wherever they live and regardless of their professional background.
Participants can access all educational content free of charge and, when they wish, pursue paid certification options.
